Get to Know Dr. Alina Miller

Dr. Miller loves that dentistry can make someone's life remarkably healthier and better in just a matter of hours, not months or years. It empowers her to create beautiful smiles and relieve pain and infection in as little as one appointment. Not bad for a day at the office! She looks forward to giving you the comfortable and attentive care you deserve, and you can start getting to know her below.

Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

On her robotics team in high school, Dr. Miller realized that she loved building tangible, functional things. However, after one semester of engineering in college, she realized that she truly missed the human element and helping people. But with dentistry, she could combine these two passions, and more than a decade later, she couldn’t imagine doing anything else!

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Miller earned her bachelor’s degree in molecular toxicology from the University of California, Berkeley, joining Phi Beta Kappa and becoming a Dean’s Scholar. She went on to attend dental school at the University of California, Los Angeles as a Regent Scholar, earning awards in patient care and oral pathology. This was followed by a one-year residency at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, where she learned advanced dentistry while caring for medically complex patients.

Since finishing her initial education, in addition to working in private practices in Missouri and Texas, Dr. Miller has completed extensive continuing education in endodontics (root canals), oral surgery, and occlusion, earning the title of Dawson Scholar through the prestigious Dawson Academy.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Miller has a wonderful husband, and together they share a very cute, very chunky dog. Her parents and brothers live nearby, which is such a blessing. She’s a big fan of supporting local libraries and can spend entire days sifting for treasures at the thrift store. Her brothers also keep trying to convince her that she loves baking and should make them cookies SOON! Fun fact: When she and her husband were first married, they lived on a 42-foot sailboat for two and a half years.
